These video essays by Tim Cone, mostly about contemporary art exhibitions, attempt to preserve fleeting thoughts about fleeting art exhibitions, or to reflect on the possible meaning of a passing moment.

An Art Show at the Federal Reserve

In this 8-minute video,  an art show at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC becomes the starting point for thoughts about post-9/11 symbols of social stability.

Your images sent me pondering what fire works do to the brain that is actually “permanent”…there has to be something in the chemistry and why do some like them more than others–the too noisy element? The paintings would seem well worth the trip to see them, but I guess one has to have a invitation???
The other thought I had was how we currently “send things to the cloud” to make them “widely and permanently available” and that we “bank on-line.” Oh well, back to the taxes but many thanks for giving me a brief interlude for philosophy. rtb
